This book is a continuation of the series of the "Soul Screamers" by Rachel Vincent. It is left off from where My Soul To Take left off and Kaylee and Nash are at a concert featuring teen pop stars, Eden and Addison Page. Everything is going fine until when they are going backstage to meet the stars with backstage passes "bought" by Tod; Eden goes stiff on stage and then is totally lifeless. Kaylee instantly knows something is wrong because she doesn't feel that burning sensation to scream and when the thing that comes out off Eden is black sludge and nothing like a soul. She discovers the name of the sludge and it leads her and beautiful Nash on a path to Addy Page, Tod's ex-girlfriend who has herself in the same predicament as Eden. Tod coaxed them to help him save her soul and in the process Kaylee may lose her soul also.
This book is part of a series that I instantly knew I would love at first glance. It has a strong plot for every book and enough kissing and touching to keep me satisfied. They only make me angry because since I read so quickly I can read this book in two hours. Ms. Rachel Vincent was truly a woman after my heart when she created the eye-swirling sweetness that is Nash. She lets us hear Kaylee thoughts so clearly and let us know that even though Kaylee has an incredibly hot boyfriend and can get any hot male bean sidhe she wants with her wailing, she still has insecurities like everyone else. On the cover it says that "Twilight fans will love it." I don't know how to respond to this claim, but I don't see any similarities. Vampires and star-crossed lovers are completely absent from this book. Either way, I loved this book and I love this series almost as much as Twilight. I am looking forward to the next book, My Soul to Keep which is coming out in June 2010! Pick this book up so you will be caught up when Ms. Vincent releases that masterpiece!
