I have the Greenfield steel tape for 3 years now. I got this handy type because I am a girl and don't like to lug around those heavy steel tape similar to those used by carpenters when simply measuring stuff around the house.

It is light weight but heavy duty and is only 3 meters long, which is enough for me to measure things such as distance of curtains rods, distance of frame from ceiling, measurement of frames, etc. It is so easy to use and it has a lock which can stop at the measurement I am in. Other measurements of the Greenfield steel tape are 10'x1/2" 12.5MM thick.

The steel tape is protected in a sturdy plastic case with black edging and yellow face. The trimmings are in pink. It is very attractive for a girl and it serves its purpose well. And for its price, it still working perfectly, though I use it quite often. I was told that the lock might not last, but hey I am still using it. Maybe I just take care of it pretty well because I don't drop it.
