The first item my fiancé and I bought after he proposed to me was our wedding ring. We surveyed all the jewelry stores at SM Megamall and found Goldenhills Jewelry which was having a sale that time. Goldenhills Jewelry had a wide range of designs on their display from earrings to necklaces and especially engagement and wedding rings. If you are not contented with their displays, you can choose from collections of designs on their brochures. They also accept personalized design if you have a particular design or detail for your jewelry. Each item was well crafted, and those with diamonds are really lovely.
We checked all the available items on sale. We chose the plain, simple white gold ring in matte finish with yellow gold edging. The picture below shows how simple it is. It is not as attractive as those with diamonds, but at least I have peace of mind that our ring is safer from thieves or robbers who may be out there. We reserved the item one year before the wedding. Since Goldenhills Jewelry was having a sale at that time, we were able to take advantage of their ten percent discount. So the net price is only Php 21, 600 (around US$500), plus free arrhae or coins. Arrhae or coins are symbols of material possessions or wealth. (See picture of arrhae below, taken by our photographer during preparation.) From the discounted price, we paid a ten-percent reservation fee. We gave our contact information, the font style we wanted for our engraved names and wedding date, and our ring sizes. The best arrangement we got from Goldenhills was we paid the balance in installment basis for six months.
After three or four months Goldenhills Jewelry called us to check the item and for fitting. It fits well to our fingers. Adjustment of size for them is free. After full payment, we can take the rings but we decided to let Goldenhills to keep it first for us and we will claim it one month before the wedding.
We are happy with our ring and the services of Goldenhills Jewelry.
