Prior to my great experience with a catchy little product known as 'myfaves', I have used several different cell plans. What drew me to this one is that you get 5 numbers to plug in which don't essentially use up any of your plan minutes. These numbers can be anything, landlines, other cells, local, long distance, any carrier, doesn't matter. Any time you call them or they call you, it's like free calling.

I discovered that I DO call the same people in general, every day so this works out great. For example, my most-called number per month averages around 750 minutes. My plan itself includes 300 anytime minutes, so I've already freed up more than twice my allowance simply by choosing this carrier. I used to run out of minutes when I had prepaid, and prior to that I just did not get enough anytime minutes for a reasonable cost.

Other perks - very few dropped calls. I do get them when I call other wireless carriers but rarely landlines. I added an unlimited text plan (includes text, pic text, IM) for less than $10. This service and most of their phones are compatible with third party sites so you can download free ringtones, wallpapers, icons, graphics - or make your own. The only reason for the 4.9 ratings are that sometimes it takes a few tries to receive the files, and nights/weekends begin at 9 PM and 7 PM would be better.

I switched to this carrier in June and have been very happy with it ever since. The only service glitch has been trying to get the other end to accept paperless billing. Overall I still consider it user-friendly, good value, and customizable to a variety of needs.
