Last week, I purchased Clairol's Natural Instincts demi-permanent hair dye in "Spiced Tea" and was finally able to use it last night. I have used Natural Instincts twice prior to last night - the first time, a rich medium brown, and the second time, Spiced Tea for the first time. Since Prom is coming up and my color was starting to fade, I wanted to re-dye it using Spiced Tea. Because my hair is hip-length, two boxes of dye were required. The directions were extremely easy to follow and a while later, I was sporting my new deep copper locks. The color was almost exact to what it was estimated to be from the chart on the side of the box. The condition that comes with the set to use in step three smells absolute divine and does wonders on frizzy hair. It smooth, shines, and conditions hair while setting the dye.

Natural Instincts truly gave me natural-looking color and because my particular color didn't contain hydrogen peroxide, it wasn't as damaging to my hair as other dyes.

Unfortunately, with my past experienced using the Spiced Tea color, I have found that it does not, in fact, last through 28 washes. Red dye pigments tend to fade fast with any dye so this was to be expected. The color did stay very vibrant for a few weeks before it started to fade to a very light auburn color.

Overall, I am very happy with the result from using this product and will most definitely be using it again in the future.
