As a social worker, I do home visits every day I work. I have to wear "dress shoes" to look like a professional while still maintaining the ability to climb up slippery wet ramps made of slick wood while dodging the holes in the floor and various vermin around. Keeping this in mind, I want to keep my shoes comfortable, with good traction (hense the rubber sole) and low healed.
Now, add to this the OSHA regulation that we can not wear open toe shoes. I'm sure all you ladies out there know how difficult a fashionable, closed toe, comfortable, low heal shoe can be to find!
Well, it CAN be done! Naturalizer is one of my favorite brands. Now, mind you, I can't afford them in a "real" store, but at least annually I purchase a pair at an outlet store:0)
