I was fairly new to DSLR cameras when I purchased this, and the instructions that came with it were very easy to read. I have bought cameras before and it was like the engineers wrote the manual. The manual is very detailed and shows you where things are.

But if you already know how to work a DLSR, then you will have no problems using this camera. I will warn you, this camera takes SD cards. Apparently some of the other Nikon cameras take Compact Flash cards. So don't go out and buy CF cards because you won't be able to use them. The D80 also offers some in camera editing (like black and white and sephia for example) and you can also crop your photos. Those are just some of the many things you can do with this camera.

I have small hands and I find this camera is easy to hold onto. One of my friends has "another brand" of camera and it was so clunky!

There are a few ways to shoot photos with the D80: you can strictly shoot in RAW or JPEG, or you can do a combination of both. My D80 came with Picture Perfect software and it allows you to edit RAW files if you don't have a program that supports that file type.

My husband also loves this camera, and he doesn't really know how to use a DLSR. All he does is put it on "auto" and shoots...and the photos still come out great!

The photo quality is wonderful. This camera takes beautiful photos. Highly recommended!
