You are racing in an import tuner race car in the early hours of the morning. You drive along the main road, deserted at night. Suddenly, as you speed down a quiet street, you hear a loud, ear-splitting siren blaring in the distance. The sun rises slowly into the horizon. It gradually gets louder, and as you start to drive away, a police car rams your vehicle, sending you and your ride crashing into the wall. Welcome to Need for Speed Most Wanted.
You've probably been playing earlier Need for Speed games such as Need for Speed Underground and Underground 2. The nights of street racing are over. Most Wanted takes you into daylight racing, European supercars... and the cops.
The plot of the game is simple and easy to understand. You are a street racer, trying to gain fame and fortune in Rockport city, a place of illicit racing and notorious street racers. You are looking to be on the Blacklist, a list of the 15 most notorious street racers in Rockport. You challenge Blacklist 15, Razor, but your car, an exotic German BMW M3 GTR, gets stolen by Razor since you lose your race. You have to start from scratch, and work your way up the Blacklist, evade the police, and finally challenge Razor to claim back your car.
The game is lengthy and addictive to play, and the cop radio AI is amazingly interactive. If you ram a police vehicle, the radio would report that "suspect has just rammed my vehicle!" etc. The graphics are excellent and overall, the game is not at all power consuming for your computer.
