Keeping my motorcycle out of the elements is pretty important to me. I have a carport but still have to be careful with rain getting to it or any moisture for that matter. The pollen is also pretty heavy in the air at the beginning of spring, so the bike will be absolutely coated if I’m not careful. I wanted a little extra protection, so I went online and bought a Nelson-Rigg motorcycle cover. They’re excellent protection for all seasons and come in three different colors: maroon, blue, and black. I opted for the black although it doesn’t really matter what color you get because you’re covering the bike, not trying to accessorize. It comes in four sizes: Medium, Large, Extra Large, and Double X. I got an XL and it’s actually a little too big for my 60cc Yamaha. It’s made from a lightweight polyester and has vents built into it to minimize condensation build-up and to facilitate the circulation of air. It has a softer liner where the windshield is so that there won’t be any scratching of the plexiglass. It’s got elastic on the bottom to make it more form fitting to your bike and also has plastic hooks that secure one side to the other. It comes with a carrying pouch in case you want to bring it with you. It keeps rain out and generally keeps my bike debris-free when it’s not being used. If you want a relatively inexpensive way to keep your bike clean, I’d highly recommend a Nelson-Rigg cover.
