Shaving is a chore. It really is. And after you shave, you have to wash up, and then put on some lotion to get rid of the razor burn, and then maybe put some more on since it still burns. Not so with the Neutrogena Post Shave lotion (maybe they wanted to avoid the title 'After Shave lotion'?). Here's why.
The lotion itself doesn't look very dramatic, as its simple, white and relatively unspectacular. However, upon rubbing it onto your face, the difference is clear. It conditions better than cheaper lotions and 'holds' much better as well. I've put this lotion on and it almost feels like its putting on a coat of armor after you shave. All the while, it doesn't leave your face oily or shiny, just smooth and much less irritated. Just what we wanted. As a result, you don't need to put too much on, as it will keep going long into the day, until you wash up, you can actually feel a difference when its removed.
It doesn't smell like a strong cologne or a sharp soap, it just smells clean and fresh, without being overpowering. Feel free to add your own overpowering scents, but don't blame Neutrogena. At about $10 a 75ml bottle its definitely not cheap, but its definitely worth each penny for a lotion made to keep your skin feeling great by a company that knows skin.
