I saw Selah on youtube.com singing "Great is Thy Faithfulness" and I was so blessed to hear their version of this hymn. Selah was composed by of three gifted musicians and they are; Todd Smith, Amy Perry, and Allan Hall. Their very first album called “Be Still My Soul" was released in 1999. To date, they already had released 7 albums. This "Greatest Hymns" was released in 2005, where the song "Great is Thy Faithfulness" was included. The word "Selah" was mentioned in Psalms.

There are 15 classic hymns in this album. Selah’s own version of popular hymns like Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, His Eye in on the Sparrow, Be Still My Soul, What A Friend We Have In Jesus, Be Thou My Vision, By And By and a lot more songs were all included in this album.

I seldom listen or sing hymns because we are not using hymnals anymore in my church but now through this album; I have learned to appreciate how early Christians worship God with these songs.

Although there are new styles and genres of contemporary Christian music, I believe that hymn songs will always be timeless piece of harmony in church worship. It’s always been a great thing to worship God with these hymns.
