New in Town is a simple little love story. It is directed by Jonas Elmer. New In Town was written by Ken Rance and C. Jay Cox . This movie stars Renee Zellweger, Harry Connick, J.K. Simmons and Siobhan Fallon.

New In Town is the story of a businesswoman, played by Zellweger, who leaves Miami and goes up to Minnesota during winter to investigate whether a factory need to be down sized or shut down. The townsfolk of this small town are not happy to see her especially the workers and the union representative, played by Connick, who is determined to fight for his workers depite his growing attraction to the lady.

Critics panned this movie as being to predictable. I believe they put way too much thought into movies especially this one. It’s a simple romantic comedy that is predictable but who says a movie has to be complicated. I believe the movie is pretty good for being written and directed by people who seem to have made few movies.

New in Town, filmed in Florida and Canada, is rated PG.
