I've always taken my skin for granted, but now that I'm older, I need to make more effort to make it look good. My general routine was to wash my face twice a day and if I was motivated, I'd remove my make-up before bed. Too many times, I was not motivated.
When I decided to try a firming mask, I didn't really expect much. I chose St. Ives Mineral Clay Firming Mask because I had used other St. Ives products and was happy with them.
After cleaning my face, I apply the mask all over my face, being careful not to get too close to my eyes or mouth. Right away I can feel the effects of the cream as it begins to make my face feel cool and tighter. The instructions are to leave it on for 10 minutes, but I leave it longer at times.
As I wait for the minutes to pass, I am very aware of the product on my face and the feeling that it is doing something good. Maybe just feeling my face feel tighter is a good thing at my age, but I really enjoy the feeling as it works. I can't describe the scent. The closest thing I can think of is "minty", but that's not really accurate. It's not really appealing, but it's not bad either.
I prefer to rinse it off in the shower instead of at the sink. It's just quicker. After rinsing, my face looks brighter, feels softer and yes, it feels tighter. I feel like I've given myself a deep cleansing, which I am sure it needs.
This firming mask is for all skin types. I have very sensitive skin and have had no problems with it.
