Okay so you want to quit smoking or you know someone who wants to quit. Well let me tell you. In my opinion. You can't quit for good using the nicotine patch. The patch is only good for one think. It helps a smoker get used to not having a cigarette in their hands. It helps a smoker to figure out what to do when they don't have THE cigarette.
The patch causes more cravings in my opinion. Because it releases nicotine every so often and for a nicotine addict, You can say, is just sitting there on the edge of the chair waiting for that next nicotine to release from the patch. Which just drives a nicotine addict crazy and they just start thinking this is too hard.
Once the smoker has been on the patch for two weeks, then it is time to switch to a lesser patch with less nicotine. The smoker than decides they need that nicotine faster and more of it. The feel deprived. They feel they can't wait for the nicotine release any longer .So they smoke.
Reality is The nicotine patch doesn't work. You need to quit cold turkey and go through withdrawal. It's the easiest way and the best way to quit smoking for good.
