I was actually wanting an original Nintendo DS but I thought maybe the newer the better and actually it turns out it was cheaper. There was a DS game that came out I had pre-ordered and my DS hadn't been fixed yet. So I found a DS Lite on craigslist for 50 dollars because the hinge is broken and the guy didn't use it anymore. I was pretty new to the DS world so it was fun for me to find out all the things it did.
I liked the picto chat feature because its fun to just draw all by yourself and the stylus is very smooth. The screen is easier to see than I thought and I loved the brightness of it. The sound was better than I expected and I really didn't think very highly of it before I got it. With all the good comes the bad though.
The screen could have been bigger for me and the system could be thicker. I know it defeats the purpose of the "Lite" but for me the bigger the better. The sound was good but unless there was nothing going on while you were playing it you needed headphones. I than found out that some multiplayer games you can use DS download play while others (the one game I have) all the players have to have the game too. The games are REALLY small and they make it very difficult to download games.
All in all I like it and I enjoyed my game. The hinge I can get fixed for free thankfully and I should probably do that.
