Nivea Touch of Happiness is one of the few products that I've received as a sample and then actually purchased after trying it out. Usually I try something once, say, "Meh!" or "Yay!", and then move on. But, I went and did it. I bought the body wash (size 16.9 FL OZ / 500 mL) I bought it at Price Chopper. It was originally $5.69, but I had $1 off coupon which came with the Nivea sample, leaving the price at $4.69.

I really love the scent, albeit it does NOT smell like orange blossoms. I think the scent is much more like a more elegant, more perfumey version of an orange soda like Sunkist. This suits me just fine, though; and that scent was one of the primary reasons I purchased it. It definitely makes me happy when using the body wash with its cheery fragrance.

The other reason I bought the body wash was that it foams up well; in fact, it foams up well without a pouf. I don't usually use a pouf, so it was right up my alley. I'm more of a hands-on type of washer. Also, it rinses away really cleanly. In a pinch, I find it makes a good shave preparation, as well.

Though the packaging claims the product softens skin, I did not find that I could go without a body lotion. I have pretty normal skin on my body. It is not exceptionally dry, so I would think it should have felt noticeably soft. My ideal body wash would leave my skin so soft that I would not have the need to apply cream afterward.

Ingredient-wise, everything is pretty standard for a body wash: the usual detergents (Sodium Laurel Sulfate, and others), water, moisturizers (castor oil and others), fragrance, etc. An interesting additive in the body wash that you don't see everyday is Bamboo Essence or Bamboo Shoot Extract. I think this is the first product I have ever used that used it in it. It is supposed to nourish the skin.
