Fish oil is one of the supplements that I take on a daily basis. Since I have had good luck with other Member’s Mark products, I did decide to try a Member’s Mark fish oil.

Member’s Mark makes several styles of fish oil. One of the first things that I looked for prior to selecting this particular style, 850mg Extra Strength Omega 3 Fish Oil, is enteric coating. I did not want to smell a fishy odor coming from my softgels, nor taste them going down. This type accomplishes both. Another benefit is that, at least for me, these softgels do not cause burping, which is a problem for many people who take fish oil, particularly if the burping has a fishy aftertaste.

Another thing that I looked for was the dose. Each softgel contains 850mg of fish oil concentrate, 240mg EPA and 200mg DHA. After reading the labels of the other fish oils available I decided that this one had the more concentrated dose, which would make it easier for me to take.

The soft gels are a bit on the large side, however I find them very easy to swallow.

Most importantly I feel that I am receiving the benefits from this item that I am seeking.

I also occasionally give my dog a softgel. While he eats a good brand of dog food a softgel of fish oil a week gives him an added amount of omega 3 that his body can put to good use. I give it to him in a little bit of peanut butter and have no trouble with him taking it at all.
