Just seeing this book makes me smile.
When my oldest son was about 2 I signed him up for a book club through his day care center and it was a wonderful thing to do for both of us.
This book is about 18 years old and is still in really great shape, of course now it is kept in my room and one day it will be read to my grandchildren. The pages are on a board material and can be wiped off.
I read this story to my son so much that he knew it by heart, I will never forget the day I was walking down the hall to check on him and I could hear him reciting this book word, for word! " No, No Nicky, that's hot!" I can still hear him saying in that sweet little voice.
This book has some really cute illustrations through out and teaches toddlers valuable lessons. Nicky is a little kitten who seems to get into a lot of things around the house, much like a toddler could and most times does. It shows them not to touch things that may be hot, or poisonous, things of that nature.
It is a super cute book that stands the test of time and it is a great opportunity for parent and child to sit down and read together and book clubs are awesome!
