This Nokia 6600 Fold was the free unit that was included in the contract I signed with the service provider Vodafone March last year. I signed for $29 Cap for the period of two years.
I was the one who chose the mobile phone brand and unit though. I chose Nokia because I believe that it is the most friendly-user brand of cellular phone. It is very easy to operate that even a not-so-high-tech person would understand. The appearance of Nokia 6600 Fold caught my interest because it is small and fits in the palm of my hand. I like the fold style because I have never tried that style before.
I am not really very fussy with mobile phones. I like Nokia 6600 Fold because of its simplicity of style and functions. I think this is the phone that I need and will be sufficient to meet my needs.
However, after a few days of using it, the unit died down. It was not the battery. It was the unit itself that the dealer/retailer needed to replace it with a new one. They replaced it after a couple of days. However, this Nokia 6600 Fold unit still disappoints me. There are times that it just hangs and the keypads don't function. There are few times that it has no power even if I have just recharged the battery. I needed to take the battery and the sim card off and put them back before it functions again. Whenever, I press the side button for it to automatically open, a message comes out at the front cover telling me to "open it manually to save energy", huh? What is that button for???
I will definitely not choose Nokia 6600 Fold when I renew my contract with Vodafone. For now, it is still working ok, but one more time it gives me a problem I will ask the dealer shop to replace the unit once again.
