I can be in Florida in a little over 2 hours from cold, cold Michigan. Allegiant Air is my airline of choice over any other as it's the cheapest non-stop flight you will find from Lansing, Michigan to Orlando/Sanford, Florida. The Lansing airport is a small friendly airport that caters to Allegiant Air. I would rather drive the 50 minutes it takes me to get there and park my car for $4.00 a day than anywhere else. The Orlando/Sanford airport is also a small easily accessable airport rather than the larger, very busy Orlando airport. Booking online with Allegiant is fast, simple and takes only minutes. I can reserve my seat and get priority boarding, tell them how much luggage I have (if any) and I'm set to go. The fares are generally $79 to $99 each way (plus your usual taxes), can't get a non stop flight on any other airline for that. There is a flight that leaves in the morning, same time each day, and a flight that comes back, also the same time each day. Snacks and drinks are not a freebie on this airline but I can deal with that for the two hour flight. I would highly recommend this airline to all of you as they do fly to different cities in the US, you need only go to their website to find out.
Update On Jun 27, 2008: Still the best airline to fly. We've flown to Orlando 3 times since I wrote this review and I will be going on a surprise trip next weeek!! Fourth of July fares were only $4.00!!!!
Update On Mar 09, 2009: Allegiant Airlines moved their flights from Lansing to Grand Rapids, Michigan. This was great for us since we are even closer and don't have to leave our car as we can get someone to take us and pick us up. We just took this airline again and paid $128.00 for a round trip, non-stop flight. Still my favorite airline!
Update On Feb 24, 2010: As of February 10, 2010 AllegiantAirlines now flies into the Orlando International airport instead of the Sanford airport. I really preferred the smaller friendly Sanford airport, but I cannot find an airline that beats the prices Allegiant offers!
