My husband and I purchased this treadmill a year ago. We specifically told the sales person how the treadmill would be used (speed, times per week, etc) and were given the nordic Track c2255 as a reccommendation. My husband uses the treadmill four to five times per week and runs at an average speed of 9 miles per hour. He's not a huge guy, he weighs just around 190 pounds. After just a few months, the motor control broke (while my husband was running, the speed would rise and fall drastically causing him to nearly fly off the back). Nordic track repaired the treadmill, as it was still covered under the one year warranty.
Just this past week the treadmill cracked right down the middle while my husband was running, causing him to injure his knee. Nordic track stated that the treadmill should never have been used for running, but that this model was designed for walking 3-4 times per week. Thankfully Nordic track is going to replace our treadmill with a better model since we have had so many problems. I would suggest this treadmill for someone looking to do light walking, but no more. Do your research before purchasing, and do not rely on the "expert" sales associates at retail locations.
