I have one of these griddles for the microwave, and they are great for quick hamburgers. They brown the meat all the way through, in just a few minutes. You can use it for grilling, searing, and frying. You preheat in microwave without food for about 4-6 minutes, then place food on teflon dish and cook 3 minutes(hamburgers), then turn meat over and cook another 3 minutes. Do not preheat beyond 8 minutes. This browns the meat on both sides and inside. The hamburgers are great, and not dry like some food cooked in microwave are. You might have to drain off the grease depending on the fat content of you hamburg.
I had one of these for about ten years before it died(the food began to stick on the teflon). Found one on E Bay and purchased it. It's doing a good job again, had hamburgers tonight.
Cleaning is easy with soapy water. Caution don't submerge under water.
Make sure you use pot holders when taking out of microwave, because the temp can exceed 500F., and the handles are small on the dish. I haven't found the heat to be a problem, as long as i'm careful and use pot holders.
