Having Norton Internet Security installed on your computer is an essential to keep it working smoothly for years to come and very important to keep your personal information safe. Recently, I upgraded to Version 2009, Symantec's most recent version of Norton Internet Security. I find it very convenient because it keeps my system protected without me having to do anything. The icon merely sits in the system tray down by the clock and performs all necessary tasks in the background. I feel protected from the myriad of cyber threats that are out there, as Norton Internet Security continuously updates its virus definitions (which are bits of information that is needed to detect and remove a virus). The firewall feature constantly monitors your internet connection looking for potential threats that may enter your system. I am pleased to know that this stops my personal information from being compromised many times every day.
I think the cost of $50 for the entire Norton package is very reasonable because you will get virus protection, a firewall and spam protection for your e-mail all in one. After one year, you will have to spend another $50 to renew your subscription, but it is well worth it for the protection it offers.
