I just recently rented the movie Room 1408, yet another one of amazing Stephen King's tall tales. Movie-wise, I was disappointed. I'm a chicken. I can't take scary movies without losing sleep for weeks after but after watching this movie, I was pretty disappointed. I would've expected a lot more effects and such for the technology this generation carries. It made the Nightmare on Elm Streets seem super high tech. Against the advice of my significant other (because he didn't want to have to "protect me" in the middle of the night) I still insisted he bring it home and I slept that night like a baby. The story itself was amazing of course but the visuals were disappointing and as much as the ending seemed impossible for him to figure out, it was also fairly disappointing. Even though the special features also carry a couple other endings. On the bright side, Samuel Jackson and his character was flawless as usual.
