Along with the USB flash drive would come the external hard drive - a useful piece of techology (although heavier than a flash drive due to its larger size than that of flash drives) that, not unlike the flash drive, gives you a set amount of storage (measured in bytes - kilo, mega, giga and so forth) capacity for the purpose of - of course - saving/storing your files! At first, I was a bit skeptical during the point in which I wasn't really aware of what exactly an external hard drive was, but as you can see, I've been very satisfied with what it can do and it's promising durabilty (this one in particular) - all in the convenience of a fairly small "tower".
*Instantly connects with your computer therefore allowing access to files (as well as adding more, deleting, moving and whatnot)
*As previously mentioned, it's fairly small and it comes with a cool-looking green light that's behind a design of a circle in the center part of the front interface
*You won't even need to go through the hassle of unplugging it just to shut it off "properly" - all you gotta do is simply leave it connected to the computer at all times, and once you shut off the computer, the hard drive itself will turn off, as opposed to staying on given that it's AC-outlet powered
*Comes with everything you need in order to get started right away
*Nice and simple for those who are only looking to have their files stored for back-up purposes, or whatever the case may be
*First off, this doesn't go to say that it's "fat" - perhaps could have been a little more thinner, although this isn't much of an issue to me at all whatsoever
Ultimately, I'm glad I decided to try out one of these courtesy of Western Digital once I stepped into that Staples store, and just happened to pass by a section containing these items. Again, if you're looking for simple, highly convenient storage, then shooting for one of these would definitely leave anyone with a feeling of satisfaction. I'd highly recommend this to absolutely anyone - even to someone who doesn't even know what a computer is!
