I suffer with a sore neck, according to my doctor this is tension, he prescribed tablets but they were no good! My cousin recommended I try a memory foam pillow, as they are supposed to be good for neck and back pain, so after some thought I decided to buy one, nothing to loose, I thought.
So in the town a new bedding shop opened, while having a look around the shop I found the Elizabeth Jayne memory foam pillow, there was a pillow out on show, I felt it and the pillow was so soft so I couldn't resist I lifted one and paid £9.00 for it, I couldn't wait until bedtime that night to try out my new comfortable pillow, Eventually bedtime came and I put my memory foam pillow into a pillow case, it fitted perfect.
I lay on the pillow and I got a bit of a shock, the pillow is actually quite hard when you lye on it, after the first night I wasn't impressed, however after a few nights a got used to the pillow, maybe because after a few nights the pillow had my shape in it and also had softened slightly. The pillow is still quite hard but I am used to it, each morning I fluff the pillow up and it goes back into it's original shape, another thing I should mention is that normally I would use two pillows, but with this I only use one, I cant say I have noticed any difference with my neck pain but I do expect the pillow to last for sometime.
The pillow has a cream cover over it, with Elizabeth Jayne wrote across the pillow in large block lettering, it feels like gel to touch and the washing instructions can be found on the label at the side of the pillow as I said earlier it goes back into it's original shape easy enough and fits into a normal sized pillow case.
The material content is
Shell: 52% polyester,
48% viscose and the
filling: viscoelastic foam.
The pillow can only be dry cleaned and complies with the B.S 5852 part 2 and the ignition source 2.
For anyone who likes a soft pillow this pillow is uncomfortable at first, it does take some getting used to, and I cant say it's done anything for my sore neck, however if you are after a pillow that will last, then this pillow would really be worth the money, I suppose everyone is different it will depend on what you prefer, personally I do like a soft pillow but I am getting used to the memory foam pillow slowly but surely!
