We received this iron as a wedding gift 10 years ago. I believe it was around $70 at Sears. (A lot of money for an iron, as far I'm concerned!) It has a steam button and a button to spritz the clothing with water. I loved these features as they were very effective and got the wrinkles out really quickly. It has settings for linen, cotton, wool, silk and synthetics. The steam feature only works with the last 3 settings. The iron heats relatively quickly and there is a window which allows you to see how much water is inside the iron. It also came with a little cup to make filling the compartment easier, not a necessity by any means, but nice to have.
Initially I loved this iron, it worked wonderfully on everything. I should point out that I hate ironing, so this was not used all that frequently. Unfortunately, just after the warranty expired, the steam and spray features stopped working. I now find that this iron is very ineffective, regardless of the temperature that I set it to. I find I need to use a lot of pressure and I have to repeatedly go over and over the same spots. Very annoying for someone who hates ironing! I am in the market for a new iron and will not be purchasing a T-Fal!
