I haven't skated since I was a child, and the skates that I used then were nothing like these!

Technically, I guess these are categorized as 'recreational' or 'training' skates which is towards the lower range of inline skate options, but these are plenty good for me!

They are attractive and very comfortable. The laces, straps, and buckles seem to provide very good ankle support, and they inspire confidence in a relatively inexperienced skater like me (I am not sure if confidence is a good thing or bad thing in my case). When you loosen everything up, it is very easy to put on and take off.

These actually are not mine, I got them for a friend for Christmas, but she threatens to force me to go skating next time I am in Santa Monica. I will probably provide an update after I have more experience with them.

From the documentation I know they have 78mm x 82A Performa Wheels, SG5 Bearings, and 4 position adjustable brakes.

In summary, these Spiritblade III Inline Skates are good looking, reasonably priced, comfortable, and I am sure they are good for recreational skating.
