These desktop notepapers in a little box are cute, but they are too difficult to get out of the box.

I received these as a gift, and I will probably use them, but I’ll have to take them out of their cute little box to do so. These are made by Dayspring, a popular stationery company with inspirational materials. This box has a quote by Max Lucado: “God Thinks You’re Wonderful, ” and “Whenever you want to talk He’ll listen.” Then it also has the verse “Call to Me and I will answer you.” Jeremiah 33:3.

An attached elastic band holds the box shut, and that is nice, but will probably deteriorate over time. The notes are 3 inches square and have a cute picture of a telephone and the phrase “I’m always listening” in the corner. There are 300 notes in the box.

The real problem is that you can’t possibly get the papers out of the box without turning the box over and dumping the pile into your hand, then pulling one off the pile.

If you used these as notes to enclose in items to other people the message on the papers alone: “I’m listening, ” doesn’t stand on its own to give the same message as the box– that God is listening.

This is a cute idea, but they didn’t really pull it off very successfully. As paper, it’s ok, but cut up scrap paper is easier to get a hold of than these papers in a box.
