Notting Hill is one of my absolute favourite movies. The idea of a love story between an American actress and a normal yet slightly odd-looking bloke is great and it really works. Matching Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant together, with a great cast of actors and actresses. My dad is a huge fan of this movie and always insists I watch it with him. We first borrowed it from my Nanna and truly loved it. The soundtrack is listened to constantly and played on repeat, which annoys my mum, since it is her car. :D Julia Roberts is great as Anna Scott, the actress who comes to London to shoot a film. Bumping, literally into Hugh Grant's character William Thacker, Julia Roberts proves to even look good covered in Orange juice. One character you can't help but like is Spike (Rhys Ifans). William's little sister Honey, portrayed by Emma Chambers from The Vicar of Dibley. I loved this movie from start to finish. I like that they love each other so much. The song "When You Say Nothing At All" does perfect with the garden scene. I strongly recommend it, though it maybe too much of a chick flick for some guys.
