All of Gena's books are very good. This book was good but not as good as some of her other books. This story was a little slower paced but still entertaining.
Story: Valerian ins the nymph king. Sex is what makes him and his warriors stronger, and they are in desperate need. He travels to the earth's surface from a portal in Atlantis in search of single women for his men. He sees Shaye and instantly recognizes her as his mate. Usually women throw themselves at him. Shaye is doing everything in her control to push him from her. Valerian definitely has his hands full with convincing Shaye he is the one for him and keeping the dragons away...
Characters: Valerian is an alpha male but he is also kind and generous. Shaye is a refreshing character. She is a person that has been belittled by family members and puts on a rude, cold act to keep people from getting close to her.I
My Opinion: I really liked Shaye but Valerian seemed kind of generic. I loved that the story took place in Atlantis. Her details of the city and Valerian's home was very detailed. Gena managed to write about Atlantis in a way that you can easily visualize it. I recommend any and all of Gena Showalter's books, they make for an entertaining read.
