I received this necklace today in the mail, and I couldn't wait to write up a review on it. I was that impressed with the artist and her work. Immediately after I saw the information on the envelope, I knew exactly what was inside and opened it up right away with much urgency. Inside, there was a jewelry box with a ribbon. On the ribbon was a glittery initial, the letter "R." I love that personal touch she gave. The chain is made of sterling silver. I am always so appreciative of jewelry made out of either sterling silver or gold because my skin reacts best to those metals. Sterling silver is even better because it's my personal preference; I prefer that cool shade. There is a beautiful, faceted rose quartz in the shape of a tear drop. The gemstone is hand wrapped with wire that is also made from sterling silver. An especially pretty and cute detail is the Thai fine silver charm that has been hand stamped with a lotus flower. To the other side of the rose quartz is a lovely white freshwater pearl. The necklace closes with a sterling silver spring clasp. On either side of the clasp are two wire wrapped petite freshwater pearls. This necklace is 18 inches in length.
The designer, Kande is on Etsy. Here is her shop. The necklace retails on there for $30.00. I was the winner in her Twitter giveaway so I received it for no charge.
