Up until recently, I never had a problem with my skin such as wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles or anything of that sort. Eventually though as age sets in, it is inevitable that changes in your skin will most likely occur. I took for granted though that I never had to buy any skin products which is unfortunate I suppose.
When I entered into my thirties, I immediately noticed that I started to develop small lines under my eyes which bothered me. I ended up trying out a few products here and there. Then shortly after, I noticed the dark circles began to set in much to my dismay. So I made it my mission to find a beauty product that would not only battle those fine lines and small wrinkles but would combat those dark circles as well.
I wanted a product that was economical and did what was advertised. I started out with some Estee Lauder products my mom had given me but I soon found out their prices were too expensive for me.
Then I moved on to Olay (also known as Oil of Olay) products. I tried their Eye Lifting Serum which was great and when I ran out of it, I went online to purchase some more. I found a seller on eBay who had the Eye Lifting Serum but had another product by Olay as well called Definity Eye Illuminator which I thought was interesting. I went to Olay's site and read up on it. It looks to smooth out any wrinkles and lines around your eye and helps to make your skin stronger by hydrating it with a glucosamine complex. The deal breaker for me though was that it was suppose to illuminate your eye area which I needed due to my dark circles. I immediately purchased a small bottle online.
I have been using this Olay Definity Eye Illuminator since September and here are the results. Let me list the pros first. I find that it does firm the area around my eye and slightly diminishes fine lines for a certain amount of time. It does lessen my dark circles but again only slightly, just a touch more though if I've had enough sleep. Now for the cons. After you have applied it, make sure you smooth it out really well and don't use too much because it will clump. It also stings a bit when first applying it though I might be more sensitive though than other people. I'll be using the rest of this bottle, but I think I will pass on buying it again.
