I ocassionally treat myself to a massage or facial at a local day spa to just destress and to help take care of myself the best I can. While I was recently visiting the spa for a facial, the lady who was giving me the facial gave me several tips for taking care of my skin. One of the tips was to make sure I exfoliate my face 2-3 times a week. This does not only clean your skin but also helps to remove dead skin cells which will help reduce fine lines and make your skin look smoother.
Once I left the spa, I went to Wal-Mart and purchase something for exfoliation. Before I went, I new that I wanted an Olay brand because that is my favorite line of skincare products. I believe it is about the best brand you can purchase especially for the price. I ended up purchasing the Olay Definity Pore Redefining Scrub which was about $2.00 more expensive than another brand that Olay had out but I wanted to go with what looked like the better product. Besides the fact that the bottle itself was eye catching, when I opened up the bottle, it had one of the best clean fragrances I have ever smelled. It is a scent that would be OK for men or women. It also states on the bottle that it helps minimize pores which helps your skin look more smooth and healthy.
About 3 or 4 days later, I tried my new product and was very pleased with the first experience. Rather than coming completly off, the cap just twists open. The pore scrub contains these little purple granules which help scrub away your dull skin leaving you with a great clean feeling. Some scrubs feel like your using sandpaper on your face. This scrub is gentle on your skin but gets the job done! To be honest, I use the product about once a week rather than the 2-3 times recommended by the lady at the spa but I still feel like it has been working. I would definetly recommend this product for anyone who wants to take good care of their skin.
This product is not just for your face. I also use this on my neck. The lady at the spa said that anything you do for your face for skincare, you should also use on your neck. She stated that many times people neglect that area which is one of the first places you start to notice the signs of aging.
