As many of you know, I have a collectibles booth in an indoor flea market. I am always on the lookout for desirable merchandise, both old and new. Recently, I found this beautiful old fashioned blue and white ironstone pitcher and wash bowl. It really takes you back to a time when people drew water out of a well, and had to wash from a basin, since there was no running water. They would fill the pitcher, and then pour water from it into a large bowl, in order to wash. There are also stands made especially to fit the wash bowls.

These are very collectible items, and while this one is probably not that old, it is very beautiful. Of course, I can sell it for quite a bit more than the $19.99 that I purchased it for in a thrift shop. What a bargain!

It is a beautiful mixture of blue and white ironstone, with lovely blue roses on the large pitcher. At the time that I found this one, I was able to purchase 3 similar ones. I have sold the other two, and really hate to part with this one, but I need the space in my bathroom. It's a beautiful set, and anyone would be pleased to own it.
