Neil Simon's, Out of Towners is one of my all time favourite movies. I prefer the original with Jack Lemon and Sandy Dennis as opposed to the remake with Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn. This is a movie about a married couple, the Kellerman's, who are taking an overnight trip from their suburban home in Twin Oaks, Ohio to New York City for a job interview and the hilarious turn of events that occur. From missing their connections due to inclement weather, losing their luggage, arriving in New York during a transportation strike, losing their hotel room, being robbed in the street, the night spent in the park, oddball strangers lurking, played with such wonderful comedic timing by these seasoned stars. The many surprising twists in this movie keep you on the edge of your seat. Each time I watch the Out of Towners I laugh until I cry. A great movie for the whole family, a must see.
