I've owned this particular oven mitt for a little while now and although it took me a little bit to get use to it, now I'd not be without it.

Made of exceptionally durable silicone this mitt is heat resistant to 800 degrees and is generous enough in size that it covers the forearm quite well, shielding it from heat and accidental burns that might happen while pulling things out of hot ovens.

I use this mitt regularly and even though it's handled some very hot serving platters, bakeware and oven ware, it is still in excellent condition with absolutely no signs of wear.

The inner part of the mitt that is used to grip things has ridges which allows you to ensure you have a good hold on hot items, so the mitt doesn't slip.

The one thing I don't like about it is that sometimes the end of the mitt will end up in the dish I'm pulling out of the oven, but a quick rinse under the tap, and the mitt is clean again. It also goes into the dishwasher to get a thorough cleaning every so often and has endured the soap from the dishwasher with no problem.

This particular mitt came with a second mitt which basically fits onto the ends of your fingers and is used in unison with the larger mitt. Personally I'm not crazy about this small one as I always feel that I don't have the best grip on the item I'm pulling from the oven.

Over all though I love this mitt and I've never bought any of the cloth ones since purchasing this one, as a matter of fact I no longer even own any of the conventional oven mitts. This one does it all and does it very well.
