The Pampered Chef bar pan is perfect for baking cookies, brownies or anything else you would normally bake on a metal cookie sheet. However, Pampered Chef stoneware has this amazing ability to heat the food evenly, so no more burned food. Now, it is STONEware, so it is a little heavier than a metal pan, but I wouldn't say it's *heavy*. The only other downside to stoneware is that you can't use soap to clean it. The soap will actually seep into the pan and your future recipes will wind up tasting like soap. Instead you can either stick it in the dishwasher by itself (with no soap) and let it run on hot, or you can handwash with very hot water in the sink. But the beauty of the stoneware is that with the handy scraper that comes with each piece, and leftover food just falls right off.
