The Pampered Chef food chopper was one of the first products I got when I hosted a Pampered Chef party. It quickly became one of my most used kitchen accessories. Instead of using a knife, I use the chopper. I've used my chopper for onions, nuts, chocolate, vegetables and even chicken. I like it, because as you can see in the picture, it opens up so you can thoroughly clean it. It is dishwasher safe which is always a plus for me. I have noticed that some food will stick in the blades though, so a good hand scrubbing may be necessary. One thing about this product that can be both a positive and a negative is it requires a good amount of force to chop the foods. So if you are frustrated, you can really work it out on your veggies in the kitchen. But this also means younger ones can't really help. My 8 year old has tried to use it but just can't get enough force to make it work. Another positive/negative about this product is the fact that it comes apart. While it makes it great for cleaning, it also makes it easy to lose parts. There is a lid that comes with it you can chop products in, but it's missing from my picture because I lost it. Pampered Chef does sell replacement parts if you lose an important part. If you do a lot of chopping in the kitchen, I do recommend this product. It's much easier to get out and clean than a food processor.
