I love black licorice!!! I know it's not every ones cup of tea but if you do like black licorice then I think you would be really happy with these Panda Licorice Chews!

One of the things I really like about these is that

The ingredients used are simple and all natural...

Molasses, wheat flour, licorice extract, natural flavor (aniseed oil)

No added colors

No added salt

No artificial flavors

99 % fat free

No preservatives

Kosher certified

These are suitable for someone who is vegan or vegetarian.

Of course, it is a candy so there isn't any real nutritional value, but the way I see it is, if I've got a craving for something like this...at least it's all natural and tastes good!!! ( good excuse yes?)Some believe that licorice is calming, and good for digestion..I myself have never tried it for that ..I just enjoy munching !!

Serving size is 15 pieces ( YAY!! 15!!!) There is 5 servings in a 7oz box.

Nutritional facts per serving

These chews are straw shaped, with kind of a honey comb pattern running through them. They are cut to bite size (not quite an inch)and the texture is chewy..after eating these I have realized that the other brands (Twizzlers etc) are actually WAXY in texture. These Panda chews are NOT.

Panda chews also have a true licorice taste. You really taste the licorice but it is not so strong that it's unpleasant.

Other brands just don't cut it for me anymore! These Panda chews are also always fresh and soft. They have a specially designed package (box) that is lined with foil and a plastic seal over the top..be sure that once you open the box, to store them in an air tight container or Ziploc..they will dry out over time if left open.

Panda Licorice is pretty easy to find now, more and more stores have natural food sections in them (Raley's etc) Of course every natural foods store I've been in has had them..that's where you are most likely to find these. I paid $2.85 for a 7 oz box at the small local Sunflowers Natural Foods here.

Some information about the Panda company..They are imported from Finland by World Finer Foods...for more info about Panda and their products:

Panda also makes other flavors like strawberry and raspberry (those are the ones I tried and liked)

If you like black licorice and haven't tried these yet..I highly recommend them !
