Scrapbooking, what can I say? There aren't enough hours in the day or enough money in my bank account to buy everything that I would like to use. I take shortcuts whenever I can by coming up with my own embellishments and trading leftover items with a bunch of crafty friends.
One of my shortcuts is to make only the 8 x 8 scrapbooks. They take a lot less time, a lot less inventory and for me it's a convenient size to work with. I can tuck an 8 x 8 scrapbook in a small tote bag and take it with me wherever I want.
To make my scrapbooking life even easier I like to purchase the 8 x 8 preprinted paper pads. They come in several formats and one I am partial to (being a Disneyholic) is the Disney themed Mickey & Friends paper pad that I found at Michaels for half price.
**This pad of paper includes 38 pages of coordinating patterns, there are 205 alphabet tiles, 162 borders, tags and icons. I just sent my daughters a book using these sheets and I have more than enough paper left to do another scrapbook
**Buying this in such a way reduced my cost of purchasing 12 x 12 sheets and having to cut them down, not fun and time consuming.
**There are sheets that allow me to design a double page so you can open up the book and have pictures on both sides with a matching background, kind of like a large panoramic picture.
**A section on ideas was included which helped me out to get the creative juices going. Sometimes I have a hard time knowing where and how to start so being able to visualize something was a big help.
**This paper is acid free to preserve your hard work for many years to come. Having these pages on a pad keeps them together and organized, just tear out the sheet you need and the rest are neatly stored on the pad.
These 8 x 8 paper pads are not just for a Disney vacation scrapbook but can be used for any Disney lover along with other pages you've designed. Kids would love using them, they could cut and paste and be busy for hours. Every scrapbooker needs a little help and these paper pads sure do the trick!
