Ok well about a year or so ago now, i bought a steering wheel for my pc. Thinking i'd be able to enjoy all my racing games like i was actually there, was far far FAR from the truth. I got in the mail, an undersized, plastic, rattley stering wheel with pedals, which was meant to "feel like the real thing".
I was still positive while connecting it to my computer, downloading the dated software from the cd to the computer and setting it up for a thrilling game". Once i started playing Need for Speed Carbon, i set up my controls and soon realised how rubbish this product was.
Unlike a normal steering wheel, this wheel was either left or right, where the car couldn't be turned slightly to make a corner, leading to the car feeling abrupt and too vicious to drive. As well as this, the pedals were delayed, kept slipping on carpet, as well as too small for the average foot (even though i'm sure it's meant for someone half my size.
When you get a steering wheel for your computer, please do the right thing and spend over $150, buy something in the logitech range or at least something from a proper computer place, where the details of the product are all disclosed.
Buy good, or don't buy at all, you will want better.
