When I lived in Philadelphia, I used to take the one hour drive from my home to Lahaska in Bucks County to visit Peddler's Village. This is such a great place. It is comprised of 70 specialty stores of every description, where you can browse and shop. There are also places to dine, and I know much more has been added since the last time I visited, which was years ago.
There is the Golden Plough Inn, where you can stay if you are visiting for more than one day. There is also something new for kids of all ages, called Giggleberry Fair. This is something that has been added since my last visit.
I'm not certain about group discounts or transportation, that is why I rated those categories a zero.
I remember the last time I went to Peddler's Village. I went with a friend, and we drove from Philly and made a day of it. There was a beautiful carousel that you could ride (I wonder if that carousel is still there), and my friend and I just sat and watched the kids enjoying themselves on this carousel. We had some water ice and picked up some goodies at the bakery. There are so many different types of shops where you can browse and purchase many different items. I purchased a stuffed bear because I'm a sucker for them. At Christmastime, the village is decorated beautifully. They also have different events they hold at certain times of the year. Check out their website at www.peddlersvillage.com and see what wonderful things they have to offer.
Next time I'm in the area, I definitely intend to visit Peddler's Village again. It's a quaint, magical place.
