Our dog is terrified of getting his nails clipped, he fights like crazy when you try to do it. He is no better for a groomer and it cost a lot to take him every time his nails are long.
We decided to try the Pedi Paws nail filer because it looked so easy on the commercials. Let me say that their customer service is horrible. We waited for over a month and it never arrived so finally we called and they said it had been shipped right after we ordered it and should be there in a day or two. It finally arrived about 2 weeks later.
So now that it is here we do what the instructions say and get our dog used to it before we try to file his nails. Turn it on and touch him with it in a non-aggressive way so that he won't be afraid of it. He tried to eat it so he definitely wasn't afraid. When we tried to trim his nails though it was another story. He did not want to let us do it. We finally got him calmed down enough to where we could try it out and it does not work very well at all. His nails were nothing like the short, smooth nails they showed on the commercial. They were still jagged and rough.
All this tool is, is a small ring of sand paper on a rotating rod. It's a great idea in theory but it does not work as well as advertised. It's not even the same color as the one on tv. Our is black and yellow, the one on the commercial is purple and grey. It also requires 2 C batteries, which are not included.
