For the last couple years or so I've been getting word seek puzzle magazines at Walmart. I've tried a couple different kinds of magazines and I seem to always end up going back to Penny Press's magazines. There is just something about the look of these magazines that I like.
Each magazine is only $1.79 a piece and there is one every month. The puzzles inside usually have a theme for that month as well. Since it is July when I'm writing this review the magazine I have infront of me is the July magazine and it is filled with puzzles that have to do with the Fourth of July. There are 86 puzzles in the magazine and sometimes there is a little compatition puzzle included at the end that you can send in a possibly win a prize.
There are different types of puzzles that range from just plain and simple find the words in the list to puzzles that are missing vowels and you have to fill in the vowels and find the words. There are also puzzles that do not give you words at all and you have to find so many words that begin with a certain letter or have a certain combo of letters in them. Some of my favorite puzzles in this magazine are the puzzles that you have to find where the words go. They are kind of like crossword puzzles only you don't have to answer a question. You are given a list of words and then you have to figure out where they go in the boxes provided so that every box has a letter in it and all the words are in it.
Some of the puzzles are very challenging but still extreamly fun and makes your brain work sometimes. If you like to do Word seek puzzles I would defenatly recomend the Magazines from Penny Press.
