In our country, a marker is called a Pentel Pen, because people are so used to this brand. However, it is already getting to be very expensive.

And so several months ago, when I needed a permanent marker, I scouted around the school supplies section and asked for an alternative brand.

I was given the Lotus Permanent Marker with a bullet-tip. It is also refillable with a snug cap so the ink won't dry easily. It is made in Japan, which I believe makes the product reliable, but it is about 20 pesos cheaper than the Pentel Pen branch. That is about 50 cents. And that is already big for us.

What's more, I found out after not using the product for several months, it still writes beautifully. Unlike pentel pens that when I don't get to use it for a couple of months, the tip dries us rendering the marker useless.

Also, the pentel ink ink dries up fast even while I am writing something. But the Lotus doesn't. This is a very good brand for a permanent marker.
