"People of the Thunder" is the lastest book by the Gears from "The people of" series. It is a novel of North America's Forgotten Past. It is hardcover and 384 pages. It came out January 2009. This is the conclusion to the "People of the Weeping Eye book."

Trader Old White (the seeker) and Two Petals (the Contrary) travel over the Choctaw to Old White's homeland. Set in the 1300's the Sky Hand control the territory where Chief Flying Hawk rules with his nephew Smoke Sheild. They are ruthless warriors. Find out if peace will ever come over this land or will the leaders continue on their rein of terror and destroy the people and the land? The Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek and Yuchi peoples will come to life in this amazing historical fiction novel.

==My Opinion==

This is an extremly graphic book. I think it is only fair to warn you. There is graphic rape, torture and abuse. This book is real and doesn't hold back any punches. If you love to learn about the past this is a book for you. It really brings the past alive with believable characters and circumstances. It reminds us that we are not so different than our Native American past. People are people, good, bad, indifferent.
