I was looking to invest in a nice set of dinnerware for when my husband and I entertain at home. A friend of mine suggested I buy dinnerware from Pfaltzgraff, as she was satisfied with every purchase she has made from the company. Pfaltzgraff is one of the leading manufacturers of dinnerware, glassware, flatware and ceramic accessories. I love their selections. They currently have over 100 different patterns for their dinnerware alone. New patterns are regularly added, and old ones are sometimes retired, making pieces collector's items. I choose to buy a set from their Richmond Park Collection. Every piece is beautiful! The design has swirls of acorns and oak leaves across each item. Each item is made of porcelain and they are nice and heavy. One of the things I like most is how generous the sizes are. Each dinner plate is 11 ¼ inch in diameter, the mugs hold 16 ounces, and the soup bowls hold 24 ounces. I own 20 pieces including dinner and salad plates, creamers, mugs, soup bowls, a covered butter dish and a sugar bowl. At only $90, including shipping, I think it is a great value. They are easy to clean and I love the fact that every piece is oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. I was worried that these may chip or stain easily, but they are all very durable and have held up well within the year I have had them. I have not noticed any wear or scratches on any of the items. You really can tell the difference in quality and craftsmanship. These pieces far exceed any other dinnerware set I have owned.
