A Good Replacement
After losing my TV remote (I wonder where it went, lol) I finally decided it was time to get another TV remote. Getting up and down to turn the TV on as well as change the channels got to be too old. I went to Walmart SuperCenter and looked at the choices and really liked the look of the Philips Universal TV Remote. The buttons are bigger than the usual tv remote and the remote it self can be programmed to use with just about any brand of tv you can think of. I can also be programmed with other electronics such as:
DVD Players, VCR, DVR, DVD and VCR combos, Home Theater Systems, HDTV, and SAT/DTV/WebTV.
Programming the Remote
The programming aspect of it was easy and I had the romote working for my TV quickly. All you got to do is follow the book instructions (of course) and look up the number of the product brand your trying to program with the romote. Enter the number while following the instructions and the remote should work.
I feel out of all the things the TV Remote had to offer that the Signal Strength was the thing that could have been better. I've been right in front of my TV and at times if I didn't have the remote pointed at the precise place it wouldn't work. Slightly moving the remote would allow the button I pushed to work, but still I was too close and the romote should have easily worked without any adjustment. Its not pain to adjust its just I felt the signal strength could had worked a little better. Its still a really good TV Remote overall.
The Beauty of Saving Time and Movement
Now that I don't have to get up and operate the TV and can stay seated while watching television I guess you could say I've added at least an extra half year to my life. Also theres no repeative where and tear of my body of getting up and down to operate the TV. I can now save the extra energy for my Cardio Workouts. Also I can switch from watching TV using the remote to turning on my Xbox 360 with the Wireless Xbox 360 Controller I have. Now I can just sit back in my recliner and have fun and maybe to do an all-nighter of watching tv and playing my Xbox 360 while also playing online with my buddies with Xbox Live.
