Philosophy Hope in a Tube for Lips and Eyes is a great product for those of us whose skin just isn't as young as it used to be. Like all Philosophy products, it comes with its own "philosophy, " in this case: believe and it shall be yours. Yes, there is hope for those lines and wrinkles! It can be obtained from fine department stores, Sephora stores, Philosophy.com, and Sephora.com, and occasionally on eBay for a lower price.
Hope in a Tube is just one product from the "Hope" line, a line that targets specific sking problems. This product is a "high density eye and lip firming cream" according to the product information. It is good for most skin types and helps to reduce the appearance of those nasty little fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, on the lips, and even those "parentheses" from lips to nose.
It contains anti-oxidants which Philosophy claims will protect the skin, although recent research on anti-oxidants is indicating that they may not be the "wonder" ingredients that they were once believed to be. It also contains squalene and glycerin, which should soften dry skin and increase the appearance of firmness. Those who have chemical sensitivities should think twice before using this product, though, as it does contain a number of petro-chemical ingredients, like polyethylene.
My main complaint with the product is its price; at $33 for 0.5 oz, it's not exactly a bargain. It does a great job, though, and if you're lucky enough to find it on eBay, you may be able to get it fr $10 - I have. My skin doesn't have many lines yet, but my own philosophy is that it's never too early to start prevention.
